Internal extractors are used to pull bearings in situations where the shaft has been removed, bearing outer rings held in housings, bushings and other components by using an expanding collet style pulling device. Internal extractors can be paired with slide hammers or counter stays for use.
Sometimes referred to as pilot bearing pullers, blind housing bearing pullers or internal pullers; internal bearing pullers are useful whenever removing a bearing in a situation where the shaft is removed from the bearing and it is not possible to access the bearing from the opposite side.
